Athens, Sounio & the Greek Islands: 6-Day Trip

Day 1: Arrival in Athens
Welcome to Greece! A private transfer takes you from Athens International Airport to your hotel in the centre. In the evening, walk through Plaka and Monastiraki under the Acropolis and enjoy your first Greek dinner.

Day 2: The Acropolis – sunset at Cape Sounio
Morning visit to the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum (a licensed guide can be arranged on request). In the afternoon, drive along the coast of the Athenian Riviera to Cape Sounio (about 1 hour 15 minutes) to watch the sunset behind the Temple of Poseidon, and return to Athens for dinner.

Day 3: Ferry to your island
Transfer to the port of Piraeus or Rafina and ferry to the island of your choice. For a short crossing, Aegina is about 40 minutes by fast boat and Hydra about 1.5–2 hours; for the Cyclades, Paros or Naxos take about 3 to 5 hours, depending on the ship. We book your ferry tickets and your hotel on the island.

Day 4: A day on the island
Beaches, swimming, island villages and fresh fish by the harbour – a free day to enjoy the island at your own rhythm. On request we can suggest a boat trip or a local activity.

Day 5: The island – or a second one
Another day on the island, or a short hop to a neighbouring island for those who like to see more (Paros and Naxos, for example, are less than an hour apart by ferry).

Day 6: Return and departure
Ferry back to Piraeus or Rafina, where our driver waits for you for the transfer to the airport or to your hotel in Athens. Ferry timetables change with the season, and some routes run less often in winter, so we check the connections for your dates before we confirm your plan.
