About Astakos
Astakos is a quiet harbour town on the Ionian coast of Aetolia-Acarnania, facing the Echinades islands. In the season, ferries sail from Astakos to Ithaca and Kefalonia, a shorter sea crossing than from Patras – and the nearby coast of Mytikas is the starting point for the small islands of Kalamos and Kastos.
