Snow Day at Mainalo Ski Centre: Private Day Trip from Athens or Arcadia

Mainalo Ski Centre at Ostrakina is the closest ski resort to Athens: eight pistes between 1,550 and 1,770 metres, served by four lifts, plus a snowboard park – ideal for families, beginners and a first day on the snow. This private day trip takes you there from Athens, or from your hotel in Vytina, Levidi, Dimitsana or anywhere in Arcadia, and back again – no snow chains and no icy mountain roads to worry about.

Morning
Early pick-up from your hotel or home in Athens (about 2½ hours to Ostrakina) or from your hotel in Arcadia – Vytina is only about 30 minutes away. Equipment can be rented in the area and we tell you where.

On the snow
In the season the centre usually operates daily from about 09:00 to 16:00. Ski, snowboard, try the snow park or simply play in the snow with the children.

Afternoon
On the way back, a stop in Vytina for hot chocolate, local products and a warm meal by the fire, then the drive back to Athens or to your hotel.

Snow conditions change from day to day and the centre opens only when there is enough snow, so we check with you the day before and can move the date if needed. Daily transfers between your Arcadia hotel and the ski centre for several days are also possible. Tell us your dates and we will reply within 24 hours.
