Grand Forest Metsovo is a five-star mountain retreat on a secluded summit of the Pindus, surrounded by black pine forest, high peaks and the traditional village of Metsovo. The estate covers about two square kilometres.
It is open in all four seasons: guided forest hikes, wild truffle hunting, horse riding and e-bikes in the warmer months, snow and fireplaces in winter. There is an indoor heated pool, an outdoor pool, a spa with hammam, sauna and massage, a gym, a kids’ club and restaurants with mountain views.

Explore Ioannina & Metsovo
Ioannina is the capital of Epirus, a lively university town on Lake Pamvotis with an Ottoman-era castle, mosques and a small island you reach by boat. It is the gateway to the stone villages of Zagori and the Vikos Gorge, while Metsovo, a mountain village of the Pindus famous for its cheese and wine, is about 45 minutes east along the Egnatia motorway.

How to get here from Athens
The resort is next to the Egnatia motorway exit for Anilio, near Metsovo, about 45 minutes from Ioannina. Ioannina has a small airport with flights from Athens, and from Thessaloniki it is about 260 km (2 h 45) along the Egnatia motorway – the easiest way is a private transfer straight to your hotel.
