About Itea and Delphi
Itea is a small port town on the Gulf of Corinth where cruise ships stop for Delphi. The ships anchor in the bay and bring passengers to the town by tender. From the harbour the road climbs through one of the largest olive groves of Greece to Delphi, the sanctuary of Apollo on the slopes of Mount Parnassus.
Ideas for stops on the way
- A photo stop above the olive grove, with the view of the bay of Itea
- The mountain village of Arachova, 10 km after Delphi
- The seaside town of Galaxidi, 17 km west of Itea, with its old captains’ mansions
Stops and extra waiting time are arranged on request – just tell us in your message.
