Village Life in Vytina: Horse Riding, Bread-Making & Wellness

Vytina, among the fir forests of Mount Mainalo, is not only a base for the Menalon Trail – it is a place to slow down. Together with our partner hotel Arca Deorum on the village square, we put together a short break of local experiences: choose two or three and we arrange everything else.

Choose your experiences

• Horse riding in the fir forest – short rides for beginners and children, and longer routes from Elati for experienced riders.
• Bread-making in a wood-fired oven – make and decorate your own bread with a local woman and take it home (March to October).
• Yoga and pilates – vinyasa flow yoga and clinical pilates in the calm of the mountains.
• Therapeutic massage – 30, 60 or 90 minutes after a day outdoors.
• Hiking, running or mountain biking – forest trails around Vytina and sections of the Menalon Trail.

Day 1
Private transfer from Athens or the airport to Vytina (about 2½ hours). Check in at Arca Deorum, your first experience in the afternoon and dinner in a village taverna.

Day 2
Breakfast, one or two more experiences, lunch and the transfer back to Athens – or stay longer.
