How to Get from Athens Airport to Delphi: Bus, Train or Private Transfer
Delphi, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, was the centre of the ancient world. From Athens airport you can reach it by bus, by train and taxi, or with a private transfer – here is how they compare.
Quick comparison

Times are approximate and depend on traffic, waiting time and timetables.
By bus
Buses to Delphi leave from the Liosion Street intercity terminal in Athens (KTEL Fokidas), not from Kifissos. From the airport you first need to get to Liosion by bus or taxi; the bus to Delphi then takes around 3 hours via Livadia and Arachova, with only a few departures a day.
By train and taxi
Trains on the Athens–Thessaloniki line stop at Livadia, but Delphi has no station: from Livadia you still need a taxi or bus for the last part, through the mountains.
By private transfer – the easy way
Your driver meets you at arrivals and drives you straight to Delphi or Arachova – about 180 km from Athens, roughly 2 hours 30 minutes. Perfect if you want to visit the site the same afternoon.
