Explore Zagori
Zagori is a group of 46 stone villages in the mountains north of Ioannina, inside the Vikos–Aoos UNESCO Global Geopark. How to get here from Athens
Vitsa is in central Zagori, about 35 km from Ioannina. There is no train to Zagori and buses to the villages are rare, so the easiest way is a private transfer from Thessaloniki or Ioannina – or as part of a longer trip with Meteora on the way.
