Explore Kalamata & Messinia
Kalamata is the capital of Messinia, a lively seaside town on the Messinian Gulf with a long town beach, a castle above the old town and its own international airport. From here it is a short drive to Ancient Messene, the Mani with its tower villages and caves, and the beaches of Pylos and Voidokilia.

Kato Verga is on the coast road east of Kalamata, on the way towards the Mani, about 15 km from Kalamata airport. Kalamata has its own airport with summer flights from many European cities, and from Athens it is about 250 km (2 h 45) by car – the easiest way is a private transfer straight to your hotel.
