Explore Pylos, Methoni & Navarino Bay
Pylos sits on the great bay of Navarino, scene of the naval battle of 1827, with the Neokastro fortress above its harbour and arcaded Three Admirals’ Square in the centre. Close by are Gialova lagoon, the perfect curve of Voidokilia beach, the Palace of Nestor and, to the south, the Venetian castle of Methoni.

Buses are infrequent, so the easiest way is a private transfer from Kalamata airport or Athens – your driver meets you on arrival and brings you to the door.
