About this Tour
When your cruise ship anchors in the bay of Nafplio, three of the great sights of the Peloponnese are within easy reach: Mycenae, the kingdom of Agamemnon, about 25 km away; the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, about 30 km; and the old town of Nafplio itself, the first capital of modern Greece. This private shore excursion takes you to all three at your own pace.
The excursion
Your driver meets you at the tender pier in Nafplio. First Mycenae: the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean walls, the royal tombs and the museum. Then across the Argolid to Epidaurus, with its theatre famous for its acoustics and the sanctuary of Asclepius. Back in Nafplio, time for the old town, Syntagma Square and the view of the Bourtzi castle before returning to the pier.
