Explore Pylos, Methoni & Navarino Bay
Pylos sits on the great bay of Navarino, scene of the naval battle of 1827, with the Neokastro fortress above its harbour and arcaded Three Admirals’ Square in the centre. Close by are Gialova lagoon, the perfect curve of Voidokilia beach, the Palace of Nestor and, to the south, the Venetian castle of Methoni.

How to get here from Athens
Chamaloni Cottages are near Koroni in Messinia, about 3 hours 30 minutes by car from Athens and 1 hour from Kalamata airport. The closest airport is Kalamata, about 45 minutes to 1 hour away. Buses are infrequent, so the easiest way is a private transfer from Kalamata airport or Athens – your driver meets you on arrival and brings you to the door.
